Gazprom and OMW sign Addendum to contract for gas supply
Vienna hosted today the signing of an Addendum to the existing contract for gas supply to Austria between Alexander Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Gerhard Roiss, Chief Executive Officer of OMV. The document is to adjust the contract terms and conditions to the changing market environment and make Russian gas more competitive in the Austrian market.
Background
OMV is Gazprom's main business partner in Austria and since 1968 more than 190 billion cubic meters of Russian natural gas has been exported to Austria. According to the preliminary estimates, in 2014 the volume of supply to Austria totaled 4 billion cubic meters.
