January 2015 - Under the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Green Power Partnership, Atlas Distributing, a beer and beverage distributing company, is using 150,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity generated from renewable energy annually. The company is purchasing renewable energy certificates from Constellation NewEnergy. The amount of the green power is equivalent to 20 percent of the company's electricity consumption.
