Gietz AG: Event “50/50“
In honor of two momentous occasions, The Gietz Company held the event "50/50" to celebrate with customers and partners.
WEST HARTFORD, CT, USA, November 21, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Gietz AG: Event “50/50“The Gietz Company, on September 25th and 26th, 2014 invited customers, partners and employee to celebrate two jubilees:
• The handover of the 50th hot foil stamping machine Gietz FSA 1060 Foil Commander
• 50 years of the company being in its Gossau St. Gallen, Switzerland location
10 years after the introduction of the hot foil stamping machine Gietz FSA 1060 Foil Commander, the 50th machine was handed over to long-time customer Gräfe Druck GmbH from Bielefeld (DE).
Founded in 1892, Gietz opened their new production site in Gossau St. Gall in 1964. Today, it is the headquarters of the company Gietz AG.
The Celebration
Some 70 international customers and partners from Japan, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Turkey, UK and Switzerland arrived in the afternoon of September 25th, 2014 in Gossau.
After a speech by Mr. Hansjörg Gietz, Managing Director, the 50th Gietz FSA 1060 Foil Commander was officially handed over to Mr. Frank Denninghoff, Managing Director and Co-owner of the company Gräfe Druck GmbH. As a mark of appreciation of the trust and good cooperation between the two companies, Mr. Gietz presented Mr. Denninghoff with a specially engraved Appenzell cowbell.
In 2005, Gräfe Druck GmbH was the first company to invest in the innovative new Gietz FSA 1060 Foil Commander technology. Perfect stamping results, huge production output and very high durability made the decision to invest in the 50th Gietz FSA 1060 Foil Commander for Gräfe Druck GmbH very easy.
In the assembly hall, the 50th Gietz FSA 1060 Foil Commander was set up to produce a jubilee poster which featured a large, combined foiling and embossing impression, an example of which was signed by all participants.
To celebrate the commitment to the production site in Gossau, as well as the Swiss company philosophy of Gietz AG, four Alphorn musicians in traditional Appenzell dress accompanied the handover, giving it the Swiss touch.
That evening, in a welcoming and relaxed ambiance in the restaurant Werk 1 in Gossau, the participants could visit the photo exhibition – 50th Gietz FSA 1060 Foil Commander and 50 years in Gossau St. Gall. Afterwards some very informative presentations took place.
Mr. Markus Hoffmann, member of the Managing Board of Leonhard Kurz Stiftung & Co. KG from Fürth (DE), opened the symposium with a view on new perspectives and challenges of the foil stamping industry.
Mr. Keith Campbell, Global Technical Director from Amcor Tobacco Packaging, spoke from the customer viewpoint about the unique aspects of the Foil Commander and gave an overview on the future trends in the tobacco packaging industry.
Mr. Heinz Artmann, founder of ART-Line Projekt GmbH and international consultant for the high security industry, spoke about his extensive experience in the high security industry and the field of application of Gietz technology in the banknote printing industry.
With local musical melodies, the yodel group Hirschberg-Appenzell opened the celebratory banquet. As a special musical treat Valerie Schindler dazzled the guests with her skillful performance on the dulcimer, her performance being enthusiastically applauded by all participants.
Additional well wishes came by video from England, the USA, Nigeria and Brazil.
With good weather conditions, as a conclusion, on September 26th an excursion to the top of the Säntis Mountain took place.
