AVON, IND, UNITED STATES, November 4, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Local author signed to publish book that sizzles with fun

Local author Charles Henzie has collaborated with Tate Publishing to kick-start the release of his new book, A Gerbil in the Backpack.

A Gerbil in the Backpack talks about Bentley, the gerbil, and his action-packed adventure around Japan after he mischievously hides himself inside one of his owner’s backpack.

“We are excited to have Charles Henzie on board with us! The story is truly amusing and exceptionally witty… [it] is definitely a must-read!” shares Stacy Baker, the acquisitions editor for the book.

Henzie feels equally delighted to be a part of Tate Publishing, stating that, “I researched several publishing companies until I found a company that had values similar to mine and the teachings that are promoted in the book. The book emphasizes strong Christian and family values… I felt and still feel that Tate Publishing would understand these values and work with me in publishing this book and delivering these messages.”

When asked about the major theme of the book, Henzie responded, “Family, values and fun… the target audience is 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade children and their parents, I feel the readers will look forward to the next chapter to find out what is going to happen to the gerbil.”

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Charles L. “Chuck” Henzie has a degree of Communications and Theatre from Butler University. His professional career has been on Television Production, Human Resources Management, Employee Training and Development, Management Development and Consulting. Henzie became interested in writing up A Gerbil in the Backpack when his friend was relocated to Japan for a year. His friend’s daughter kept sending photos of Japan to family and friends that were undocumented; Henzie decided to document their story through the character of Bentley. With the help of his wife, a second grade teacher, Henzie was able to come up with a story that would easily fit into the story he wanted and his target audience.
