Bruce Smith is senior vice president of the Parts, Service and Technical Division of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. Smith is responsible for overseeing the areas of automobile customer service, parts and accessories marketing, service marketing, parts inventory procurement and distribution, technical operations and the improvement of lifetime owner loyalty and customer satisfaction. He is also responsible for the distribution of service parts and accessories for motorcycle, power equipment and marine products.

A 20-year Honda veteran, Smith began his career with American Honda as a procurement specialist in Troy, Ohio, working to purchase service parts from various suppliers and factories located throughout North America. He quickly advanced through the American Honda Parts Operations Division, becoming manager, and then senior manager of Honda's parts procurement center in Troy.

In 2004, Smith was promoted to assistant vice president of Parts Operations, responsible for all procurement, inventory control, quality assurance, specification control and logistics within Parts Division, including procurement from North American and Japanese suppliers. Smith relocated to the company's Torrance, Calif., headquarters in 2008, when he was promoted to vice president of Parts Operations. In October 2011, he transferred from Parts to become Vice President of Service and Technical Operations. In April 2013, he was again promoted as Senior Vice President of Parts, Service and Technical Operations.

Prior to joining American Honda, Smith worked as a purchasing manager for Eskco, Inc., a small manufacturing company that produced custom vinyl products. Smith holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Wright State University, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.
