First and Longest Running Pole Dance Revue in the World Comes to Chicago

Girl Next Door – A Pole Dance Soirée Displays Cast of Professional Women Defying Pole Dance Stereotypes to Demonstrate Athleticism, Artistry, Even Humor

CHICAGO, IL, USA, June 25, 2014 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Hollywood-based theater production, Girl Next Door – A Pole Dance Soirée is bringing the first and longest running artistic pole dance revue in the world to Chicago at the Stage 773 Theater (1225 W. Belmont Ave., Chicago, IL 60657) Friday-Saturday, June 27-28, 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. The show is a contemporary burlesque revue that combines the sensuality of pole and aerial dance with the fanciful medium of theater to create a new aesthetic: artistic pole dance. Featuring the world’s top-ranked pole performers, Girl Next Door is the first touring, professional pole dance company.

Audiences will experience entertaining story lines performed by a cast of professional women demonstrating extraordinary athleticism, aerial acrobatics and artistry that redefines perceptions of pole dance. There will be two different programs each night with a cast of more than 25 performers, including a mix of talent from Los Angeles and Chicago, headlined by Sasja Lee, 2013 California Pole Dance Championship and 2014 National Arial Pole Art Champion. Special guest burlesque performer and Illinois native, Michelle L’Amour will perform on Saturday. The cast’s professional backgrounds range from electrical engineer to school teacher, publicist to business owner and everything in between. Each performer brings a unique character to the stage, taking audiences on a sensual journey through a series of vignettes featuring a variety of aerial apparatuses, including pole, lyra, tissu, ropes and trapeze.

One female audience member of Girl Next Door in Hollywood said, “I expected Girl Next Door to be a sexy show, and it was, but I had no idea I would leave the theater having laughed, cried, been turned on, inspired and highly entertained.”

Celebrities who have attended Girl Next Door include Grammy Award-winning pop singer Bruno Mars, actor Jeff Goldblum, singer/actress Christina Milian, former UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Quentin “Rampage” Jackson and film director Philip Atwell. Girl Next Door was created in 2009 by Kelly Yvonne and shows monthly at KingKing theater in Hollywood/Los Angeles, Calif.
