EU-US trade talks – 6th round to start on 14 July
United States Brussels, 18 June 2014
The European Commission will host a sixth round of EU-US trade talks in Brussels from Monday 14th to Friday 18th July 2014. The talks are on a new trade and investment deal, known as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, or TTIP.

During this round, negotiators will continue their discussions on issues such as trade in goods and services, regulatory issues, government procurement, environmental protection and labour rights, energy and raw materials, and opportunities for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
As in previous rounds, EU and US negotiators will also spend a day with representatives of industry, non-governmental organisations, consumer groups, trade unions, professional bodies, and other civil society groups. Our teams will listen to their views and update them on the status of the negotiations. We'll also hold dedicated press events.
We'll announce more details of these events soon.
