German Chancellor Angela Merkel officially opened this year's ILA Berlin Air Show. During her visit to the showground at Schönefeld airport today, she was also welcomed by members of the Airbus Group Executive Committee, led by Chief Executive Tom Enders. Chancellor Merkel was gi ven an exclusive tour of the A350 XWB, Airbus' latest member of its family of aircraft, as well as an Airbus Helicopters EC145 T2. Furthermore, she paid a visit to another key exhibit at this year's ILA: an A380 of Emirates Airline.
