Fort Mill, SC – March 31, 2014. Continental Tire the Americas, LLC has introduced the company’s newest touring performance, all-season tire, the TrueContact™. This first-class tire combines best-in-class wet braking with Continental’s award-winning, EcoPlus Technology to provide a tire that can save the consumer money while providing the confidence they need in all seasons. From passenger cars, to minivan’s, it’s truly a tire, “For what you do”.
“The TrueContact™ brings together many of our innovative technologies into one, all-season tire,” said Travis Roffler, director of marketing for Continental Tire. “We’ve blended our EcoPlus and Comfort Ride technologies with our Tuned Performance Indicators and added in our newest technology, the Alignment Verification System, to give consumers a tire that will save them money and give them the performance they demand.”
The TrueContact™ features EcoPlus Technology which provides long-wear and can save up to $550 over the life of the tire when compared to the competitions standard tire1. In addition to saving money, each gallon of gas saved also means up to 20 fewer pounds of toxic CO2 emissions released into the Earth’s atmosphere. Best-in-class wet braking is also a hallmark of this award-winning technology, stopping up to 30 feet shorter than a leading competitor2.
Continental’s Quick View Indicators, make Continental a number one choice among consumers. Continental’s newest technology, the Alignment Verification System, provides an early warning system to drivers when it’s time to align their vehicle. Drivers will also receive an extra measure of confidence with the inclusion of Tuned Performance Indicators. The Dry, Wet and Snow letters in the tread indicate the tire’s optimal performance levels. Additionally, Continental’s Comfort Ride Technology absorbs vibrations caused by road surface irregularities, giving drivers and their passenger’s a smooth and enjoyable ride.
The TrueContact™ is backed by some of the strongest warranty programs and service contracts in the industry. This touring performance tire has a 60-day trial and up to a 90,000-mile treadlife limited warranty and a 72-month manufacturer’s limited warranty program. The TrueContact™ comes in a wide range of sizes from 15” – 19” wheel diameters with a UTQG rating of 800 AB for T, and AA for H and V speed.
