China: IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde to Visit
Ms. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, will visit Beijing on March 22-24 to meet with senior government officials and attend the China Development Forum 2014.
“I very much look forward to returning to China, a country that is undergoing transformative changes under its new leadership.” Ms. Lagarde said.
In Beijing, Ms. Lagarde will also attend an event with women leaders and address students at a townhall meeting at Tsinghua University.
She will speak at the opening ceremony of the Forum on March 23 and give a keynote luncheon speech at the Forum on March 24.
Ms. Lagarde last visited China in April, 2013.
