DOE to Host Alaska Native Village Energy Development Workshop April 29-30
The DOE Office of Indian Energy and the Tribal Energy Program will present a workshop on Alaska Native village energy project development on April 29–30 in Anchorage, Alaska. The workshop is designed to help Alaska Native villages and corporations understand the range of energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities that exist in their remote communities.
Part of an overall effort to further support and encourage accelerated clean energy resource development in Alaska Native villages, the workshop will cover topics such as:
- Strategic energy planning
- Clean energy project development and financing
- Technology updates
- Energy efficiency
- Weatherization
- Workforce development
The workshop will be held as a lead-in to the Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP) Business of Clean Energy in Alaska Conference May 1–2.
The venue and workshop agenda will be posted on our website in the coming weeks. There is no cost to attend the workshop, but participants will be responsible for their own lodging, meals, and travel costs. Advance registration is requested.
