The 2nd Annual Oilfield Housing Solutions Conference Announced by The Petroleum Connection
Held at Houston's Minute Maid Park May 1-2, the event will bring together companies facing housing challenges in the oil patch & those who provide solutions.
The rapid growth in various oilfields throughout North America has resulted in challenges in finding temporary and permanent lodging in those areas. The housing challenges not only impact the oilfield workers, but also the local communities. With a shortage of housing, rents and home prices increase and often make housing unaffordable for local teachers, food service, retail, and others vital members (and long-term) members of the community.
The 2nd Annual Oilfield Housing Solutions Conference (http://www.petroleumconnection.com/housing/) will address these challenges, and present some creative solutions. The agenda will include representatives from companies facing housing challenges (E&P companies, service companies, etc.), public officials from counties impacted by the oil boom, housing solution providers (lodging operators, reservation specialists, camp operators, etc.), and those offering services to camps operators and/or municipal officials (architects, city planning, etc.).
"We're very excited about bringing this successful conference to Houston, the heart of the oil & gas industry," commented Pete Cook, President of The Petroleum Connection, "We have already seen a lot of interest by several big oil, gas, and service companies in attending the event and participating in the agenda."
A unique featured added to this year's conference is called "Bring the House", in which those with portable housing units, trailers, modular units, or other housing solutions can reserve space in a parking lot to bring in and showcase their unit. The main conference reception will be held among the units (weather permitting).
The conference will also have interior booth space available (tabletops and 10'x10' booth space) for service companies to showcase their goods and services in Minute Maid Park's Atrium. The educational portion of the conference will be held in Minute Maid's historic Union State Lobby.
Those interested in registering, exhibiting, sponsoring, or suggesting a speaker or topic can do so via the conference website - http://www.petroleumconnection.com/housing/.
