Undergrads learn about whole-person healing

UCLA undergraduates learned about the therapeutic value of yoga for the relief of back pain during the Second Annual Student Conference for Integrative Medicine on March 1 at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

Participants in the conference, which sought to heighten awareness of an integrative approach to health care that addresses mind, body and spirit, learned about the scientific evidence behind whole-person healing traditions and experienced firsthand the art of healing through various health modalities.

The conference was organized by the student group Students for Integrative Medicine and medical students from the David Geffen School of Medicine, with support from the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine.
