TTIP Stakeholder presentations event in Brussels (12/03/2014)
United States Brussels, 12 March 2014
During the fourth round of Transatlantic Trade Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations, taking place in Brussels from 10-14 March 2014, the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission will again organise a stakeholder event. EU and US stakeholders will have the opportunity to explain their views on different aspects of the TTIP by delivering presentations to negotiators and other interested stakeholders.
We would like to invite you to make a short presentation (max. 7 minutes) on your chosen topic related to the TTIP negotiations. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity for clarifications with EU and US negotiators. Four sessions will take place simultaneously in four rooms, so as to ensure that you can engage with the right negotiators on your chosen topic.
The sessions will be grouped as follows:
- Issues related to manufacturing including horizontal regulatory coherence, technical barriers to trade (TBT), sectors, energy and raw materials
- Issues related to agriculture including agricultural market access, other regulatory issues and Geographical Indications
- Issues related to services, investment and public procurement
- Issues related to rules – sustainable development, customs and trade facilitation, competition state-owned enterprises (SOEs), small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
