3:00 p.m. ET Add to my calendar DOE's Stakeholder Engagement and Outreach initiative will host a webinar presenting the Wind Program's Wind Vision, an effort to update and expand the 2008 DOE 20% Wind Energy by 2030 report. Given the huge changes within the industry and the U.S. energy market since 2008, DOE launched this initiative to examine U.S. wind power research, development, and deployment with the intention of creating a new vision based on current market conditions. Jessica Lin-Powers, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) project manager and a member of the Wind Vision initiative coordination team, will provide an overview of the project. NREL Wind and Water Technology Deployment Manager Ian Baring-Gould, who also serves as the leader of the Wind Vision Siting, Deployment, and Permitting Taskforce, will describe in greater detail the siting, deployment, and permitting framework.
