ASES Wind Division Webinar: National and International Small Wind Standards

The American Solar Energy Society (ASES) Wind Division will host a webinar providing an overview of the status of the world and U.S. market requirements for turbines under 200 m2 of swept area. A third revision of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standard 61400-2 was recently approved and will become the underlying standard for some national standards. Learn how this may affect the marketplace for global certification and labeling while quality infrastructure is still in a state of flux.
Presenter Trudy Forsyth is the managing director of Wind Advisors Team, a virtual consulting company that specializes in distributed and small wind standards, technology, global markets, and policies. Trudy has co-led IEC standards-making activities since 1999, and she led the U.S. Department of Energy/National Renewable Energy Laboratory distributed wind program from 1995-2012.
