Members of UCLA women's soccer team added some important accessories to a bronze bear statue outside Gov. Jerry Brown's office at the State Capitol, where they were honored Monday for winning the team's first-ever NCAA championship. UCLA head coach Amanda Cromwell and team members were presented with a resolution from the California Legislature by three UCLA alumni who serve in the Assembly and Senate. The soccer champs were then taken on a VIP tour of the Capitol building that included a visit to the governor's office. "It was nice to be recognized on both the Senate and State Assembly floors," said Cromwell. "They all made us feel very welcomed and appreciated with their cheers, applause and even an eight-clap."
