The Food and Drink Federation, the voice of the food and drink industry, has today joined with other sectors of the UK economy to set out the case for inward investment in the UK.

Speaking at the three day HSBC Global Connections International Exchange, FDF Director General, Melanie Leech set out why the food and drink industry, Britain's largest manufacturing sector was a great place to invest detailing the reasons why inward investors for food and drink might choose the UK.

Speaking after her address at the event earlier today, Ms Leech said:

“The exciting and fiercely competitive UK market is a superb environment within which to invest to build a great food manufacturing business. Inward investors need only look to our vision shared with Government to grow our sector by 20% by 2020, our work to create a pipeline of talented individuals to push the industry forward and the way in which the market fosters innovation to see that the UK is well and truly open for business.”
