The American Wind Energy Association published its U.S. Wind Industry Third Quarter 2013 Market Report. According to the report, the U.S. wind industry ended the third quarter with more than 2,300 megawatts (MW) of wind capacity under construction across 13 states. At least 42 power purchase agreements were signed or announced during 2013, totaling nearly 5,670 MW. Also during the third quarter, 69 MW of wind capacity was completed, bringing total U.S. wind capacity to 60,078 MW.
