Library of Congress to Re-Open October 17
The federal government shutdown has ended. The Library of Congress will re-open to the public and researchers at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, October 17.
The following events are postponed, canceled or rescheduled:
- October 17: Robert G. Kaiser discusses and signs his new book "Act of Congress: How America’s Essential Institution Works, and How It Doesn’t" is postponed.
- October 17: Valentina Lisitsa concert, Rachmaninoff piano selections, has been rescheduled for November 14.
- October 17: Film, "An Evening of Ernie Kovacs and Edie Adams on TV" (Packard Campus) is canceled.
- October 19: Kids Euro Festival in the Young Readers Center is postponed.
- October 19: Music Division "Declassified: Behind-the-Scenes with Artifacts and Ideas is canceled.
