FLORIDA, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, September 27, 2013 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Chitra Ramanathan's unique body of paintings visually portray the mental emotion of happiness through intense colors and diverse textural materials. The artist has expressed to numerous interviewers that her work is inspired by short-lived garden blooms and cyclical seasons both of which she compares with the continually evolving, ephemeral, fleeting happiness' "formless form", phrase coined to describe her concept. The paintings exude exuberance through intense colors interwoven with intricate textures, while hints at circles that are an integral part of Ramanathan's work signify the human life cycle. Created predominantly with acrylics and mixed media, the paintings range from large-scale to small dimensions but uniformly characteristic of the colors and multiple layers of varied textural materials that glow under any light situation, making them suitable and safe for display at all types of venues. They have been described as “tactile works that resonate with a quiet harmony” by Manhattan Arts, New York, where several galleries exhibited her work on Broadway, Soho, New York in solo and group exhibitions since 1995 following a solo exhibition in Chicago in 1994.

The artist accepts commissions to create custom paintings of any scale from corporate organizations, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations. (No individual commissions offered at this time). To view images and videos of acquired works, please click on following links:
