Construction of Mountain Olympic Village for skiers and biathletes nearing completion in Krasnaya Polyana
Gazprom Sotsinvest is finishing the construction of the Mountain Olympic Village on the Psekhako Ridge for athletes taking part in skiing and biathlon competitions.
The Olympic Village can accommodate a total of 1,100 persons and consists of three parts: the hotel complex designed for 276 persons, apart-hotels and the cottage settlement – for 564 and 260 persons accordingly.
As of today, foundation works, wall construction and roof installation have been completed at the hotel complex and apart-hotels sites. The building front installation is nearing completion and decorations as well as building services installation are underway.
The cottage settlement for 260 persons has already been commissioned. It was used during the 2011–2012 and 2012–2013 Russian and international test competitions.
Background
Gazprom Sotsinvest is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The company is carrying out the construction of Olympic infrastructure facilities in Krasnaya Polyana near Sochi, namely, the Integrated Biathlon and Ski Complex, the Mountain Olympic Village, the second stage of Gazprom’s Mountain Tourist Center and is implementing projects for Gazprom on construction of several major facilities in Saint Petersburg, Central and Southern Federal Districts of the Russian Federation.
