WASHINGTON, DC – On Wednesday, August 7, President Obama will travel to Camp Pendleton, CA to visit with military families and deliver remarks to troops.

The President’s remarks at Camp Pendleton are closed to the public but open to pre-credentialed media.

Members of the media who wish to cover the remarks at Camp Pendleton must RSVP HERE by 6:00 PM PDT Monday, August 5, 2013.

President Obama Delivers Remarks to Troops at Camp Pendleton

Media Coverage: The event is open to pre-credentialed media.

Live Truck Parking: Live trucks must meet at the Visitors Parking Lot at the main gate of Camp Pendleton. Live trucks will be escorted to the parking area next to Hangar 6 West. Live trucks must arrive to the Visitors Parking Lot no later than 5:00 AM PDT to be escorted on base.

Media Pre-Set Time: 5:00 – 6:30 AM PDT (All media with heavy/large equipment and sticks should pre-set equipment on-site. Live trucks must park and cable in during this time. Media will not have access to their equipment during the security sweeps from 6:30 – 9:30 AM PDT). Crews pre-setting equipment must stay on base during the security sweep, and will be escorted to a holding facility.

No Access to Equipment: 6:30 – 9:30 AM PDT

Media Parking and Entrance: Take exit 54 B from Interstate 5 / San Diego Freeway and meet at the Visitors Parking Lot at the main gate of Camp Pendleton. Media must arrive to the Visitors Parking Lot by 9:00 AM PDT to check-in and be escorted to Hangar 6 West.
