Schools were awarded grant money for fulfilling any of three electronic transcript requirements

NORTHFIELD, IL, July 17, 2013 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Credentials Solutions helped 18 California Community Colleges qualify for one or more CCC Electronic Transcript Mini Grants. Under Assembly Bill 1056, California Community Colleges were required to convert from a paper-based transcript process to an electronic system. The state assembly approved a $5,000 mini grant for each of the following options implemented and functional by June 30, 2013:

1. Implement the Ability to Send and Receive transcripts electronically
2. Integrate with Campus Systems
3. Respond to Electronic Requests

“The June 30th mini grant deadline was a great opportunity for Credentials to demonstrate our commitment to the California Community Colleges,” said Credentials Solutions CEO Thomas McKechney. “We set up teams to focus on getting nearly 20 colleges implemented with electronic transcripts and thus qualify for close to $185,000 in mini grants.”

The following schools qualified for at least one Mini Grant: Allan Hancock College, Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, College of the Redwoods, College of the Sequoias, De Anza College, Foothill College, Gavilan College, Laney College, Merritt College, Mission College, Napa Valley College, Palo Verde College, Pasadena City College, Santa Barbara City College, Solano Community College, Taft College and West Valley College.
