President Obama Unveils Climate Action Plan

On June 25, President Obama presented his Climate Action Plan, a blueprint for steady, responsible national and international action to slow the effects of climate change. Several sections of the plan mention wind energy and the role it will play, including accelerated clean energy permitting; projects located on Department of Defense installations; and negotiations with the World Trade Organization toward global free trade in environmental goods, including clean energy technologies such as wind.
