With investments worth above $115 billion in the transportation (including Ports & Rail) sector across the GCC Region where rail alone is expected to contribute over $70 billion in the next 5 years. A significant growth rate of 10.5 per cent in the cargo traffic between Middle East and African airlines was observed in the first quarter of 2013. And the first road linking Oman and Saudi which is due to start by the end of 2013, will open new opportunities for trade between the countries.
