Coveney Encourages 'Sharing the Story'
Simon Coveney, Minister for Agriculture Food and the Marine highlights Bord Bia’s message calling on the public to support the Irish food and drink industry by “sharing the story” of Origin Green. He said that Bord Bia in conjunction with Bloom 2013 were promoting the Origin Green sustainability initiative which is providing a promotional platform for the Irish food and drink industry.
Nine O’Clock News: Origin Green Centre Ad Break this Friday 9.17pm.
Share the Story.
At 9.17pm on Friday May 31st Origin Green will break the 9 0’Clock News on RTE1.
Typically during the news, a number of sequenced advertisements run for the centre-break, however, on this coming Friday, the break will be taken over by the striking four minute Origin Green film, marking an advertising first for Bord Bia and the Irish food and drink industry.
The film on RTE will support an interactive Origin Green feature at BLOOM 2013 (running May 30th to June 3rd) in the Phoenix Park for over 90,000 visitors, and both are being supported by a social media campaign.
Bord Bia research shows that the consumer’s understanding of sustainability in Ireland is relatively limited and the public promotion of Origin Green aims to educate consumers on sustainability and its broad meaning.
So we are asking the Irish public to 'Join us on the journey' (Be aware of the Origin Green Programme - what it is and why it is important for our country) and help us 'share the story' and show support for the Irish food industry.
Your involvement with the Irish Food and Drink Industry places you at the nexus of our industry’s and country’s reputation, brand and sustainability. And we are seeking your help to drive engagement and understanding which will inspire growth in, around and beyond your business.
