Inbox.com Founder Robert Osterlund Raises Over $17,000 for Sandy Hook Elementary Victims

Tracey Jaeger, President, Newtown PTA, accepts check on behalf of the children and Sandy Hook Elementary’s PTA.

Inbox.com fundraising campaign for Sandy Hook exceeds goals using IndieGoGo.

BOCA RATON, FL, June 7, 2013 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Internet entrepreneur, Robert Osterlund, founder of Inbox.com, raised over $17,600, before fees, dedicated to Sandy Hook Elementary students following the tragic events of December 14, 2012 in Newtown, Conn. Using the popular fundraising site IndieGoGo, Osterlund quickly surpassed goals due to the viral nature of the campaign and promotions on one of the top sites on the Internet, Inbox.com. “IndieGoGo allowed us to easily point our Inbox.com campaigns and proved to be an efficient means of fundraising for the children. Sarah Harrigan and her two young sons, as appointee of the effort, delivered the check to Tracey Jaeger, president of the Newtown’s PTA on a recent March evening. Mrs. Harrigan read the following on behalf of Mr. Osterlund:

“The tragedy of Sandy Hook resonated across the world and it is our hope that this drive, and many more that happened, can create awareness for the prevention of anything so deadly, so evil, anywhere in the world. The people represented by this modest donation are against the taking of a life for any reason. The taking of one child’s life, the harming of one child, emotionally through bullying, or physically, is absolutely intolerable. Please use these moneys, with the other tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars, to protect the fragile nature of these affected children, and, if possible, create awareness to further the message globally, in order for this to never happen again.”

Accepting on behalf of the children and Sandy Hook Elementary PTA, Tracey Jaeger provided the following:

"All monies collected through the CT PTSA Sandy Hook Fund will be used by the Sandy Hook Elementary School PTA to enhance the lives and learning of students through classroom and community based programs, resources, and enrichment. Our purpose as a PTA, now more than ever, is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. Thank you, Mr. Osterlund, for these efforts and for your support in helping us make that happen."
