Fort Mill, SC – May 28, 2013.  Three weeks deep into the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) and there’s still no shortage of excitement.  Team GT’s Carl Renezeder continues to add to the win column, and the history books, as he claimed his sixth Pro-4 win of the season in as many races.  The win brings Renezeders streak to eight dating back to round 15 and the Challenge Cup in 2012.  The eight wins beat out Kyle LeDuc’s old record of six consecutive wins set last year.

Saturday’s Round 5 action got off to a great start in Pro-4 for Team GT and veteran driver, Renezeder.  Starting in the top five, Renezeder exercised patience and relied on the grip of his Red Letter Grabbers to help him methodically move his way to second.  Renezeder followed Eric Barron like an eagle stalking its prey and in the final laps, past him for the lead and ultimately, the win.

The ProLite’s took to the track and Ryan Beat was in position to notch a podium racing in the top three for a majority of the race.  In the closing laps, on a re-start, Beat was pushed towards the infield costing him valuable positions.  He was able to recover a few spots and finished just off the podium in fourth.

In Pro-2 competition, Renezeder was engaged in a heated battle for position with Rob MacCachren with teammate Robby Woods in hot pursuit well within the top five.  Late in the race, Woods made a bold move for the lead into turn three that hung up several drivers, including Renezeder.  As the melee shook out, Renezeder would settle for third while Woods dropped out of the top five.

During Round 6 on Sunday, Renezeder made history again as he scored his eighth straight Pro-4 win, his sixth of the season in as many races.  Later in the day, as the Pro-2 Class took to the track, track conditions started out slick but started to come in by the end of the race.  This wasn’t an issue for Team GT members rollin’ on General tires.  The Red Letter Grabber’s provided the grip necessary to launch Renezeder to a second-place finish while Woods posted a third-place finish.

Team GT returns to LOORRS action in a few weeks when the series visits Miller Motorsports Park in Toole, UT, June 12-13.
