The deadline to submit an entry for the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Awards has been extended to 24th May – giving food and drink companies the chance to show their customers and competitors that they are leading the way.

Do you feel like you or your company makes a contribution to making the food manufacturing sector a success? With categories covering company activities and the chance for individuals to shine, there's no better way to make sure your work gets recognised – and entry is free!

The awards have been launched to coincide with the FDF's centenary and include a number of new categories for both individuals and companies. Company categories include:

Company categories:

  • Innovation
  • Community Partner
  • Good Employer
  • Exporter of the Year
  • Environmental Leadership
  • Health and Wellbeing Champion
  • Growth Business
  • Education Initiative

The popular Apprentice of the Year category will also be joined by new individual categories for scientists and engineers.

Food and Drink Federation's Economics and Commercial Director Steve Barnes said:

“Our FDF awards are an important opportunity to recognise the positive impact food and drink businesses have made right across the industry and also for individuals to shine and show they are the best in class.

Whether it's working with the local community, reducing your environmental impact or celebrating your export success, the food and drink sector is full of great examples of how businesses are both successful and responsible.”

The awards are free to enter and entries can be submitted online or by post.

The closing date is 24 May 2013 and shortlisted companies will be announced in July.
