Rapidly Dispersible, Highly Soluble PROMITOR™ Soluble Corn Fiber 60A. To Be Featured at IFT Trade Show In New Orleans
Decatur, Illinois—June 23, 2008 — Tate Lyle today announced the launch of PROMITOR™ Soluble Corn Fiber 60A, the newest addition to its fiber and wellness platform. Food and beverage manufacturers will now have an even more dispersible, highly soluble way to offer consumers the benefits of fiber with no impact to taste or texture.
PROMITOR™ Soluble Corn Fiber 60A will debut at the 2008 IFT Food Expo in New Orleans, where visitors will have the opportunity to taste the fiber-rich ingredient in two flavored drink mix beverages.
“Simply pour a “stick pack” in eight ounces of water, give it a quick shake, and get a delicious, refreshing drink with a good source of fiber, it’s just that easy,” said, David Lewis, Business Development Manager, Health and Wellness at Tate Lyle. “We are proud that our Product Development team has allowed us to create a fiber that can be easily incorporated into a wide range of food and beverages with no impact on taste.”
PROMITOR™ Soluble Corn Fiber 60A is best suited for a variety of dry mix products ranging from beverages and desserts to savory products such as soups, sauces and salad dressings. It has a 60% dietary fiber content and is a colorless and flavorless prebiotic fiber that can be used to deliver consumer benefits for added fiber, weight management and digestive health.
Consistent with the PROMITOR™ Dietary Fiber range, Soluble Corn Fiber 60A offers consumer friendly labeling options and manufacturers can also use the PROMITOR™ logo on their products to help with consumer positioning.
Tate Lyle would be delighted to discuss PROMITOR™ Soluble Corn Fiber 60A with delegates at the Institute of Food Technologists Trade Show (Booth No. 1633), where visitors can try prototypes that highlight the applicability of this ingredient in two flavored drink mix beverages: Gogi Berry and Schizandra Passion Fruit, both meeting a “good source of fiber” claim.
