Core Assets Consultancy and Resourcing in partnership with the British Association of Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) has been awarded preferred provider status by the Children’s Improvement Board (CIB) for the diagnostic assessment of local authority adoption services.

The call-off contract commissioned by the CIB runs from February 2013 through to March 2014. It has been developed in response to government agenda to speed up the adoption process and improve outcomes. Individual local authorities with responsibility for children’s services, can now commission the partnership directly to carry out adoption diagnostic programmes quickly and cost-efficiently.

"We are extremely proud to have gained preferred provider status which is testament to the specialist skills and expertise shared by Core Assets and BAAF and recognises our national reputation for delivering bespoke adoption diagnostic programmes," said Dr Andy Gill, head of consultancy at Core Assets Consultancy and Resourcing.

Having successfully undertaken 20 adoption diagnostic assessments last year, the partnership has a proven track record in delivering programmes on behalf of CIB and the Department of Education.

In conducting the diagnostic process, Core Assets and BAAF have developed a range of methods and tools to be used consistently across all assessments, including data analysis, interviews, focus groups, case audit and meetings with key stakeholders.
