Henry Cavill Joins Celebrity READ Campaign

CHICAGO - ALA Graphics is pleased to announce actor Henry Cavill as the latest star to join the Celebrity READ campaign. Known for starring in films such as Tristan Isolde and The Count of Monte Cristo, as well as the Showtime series “The Tudors,” the U.K. actor will appear as Clark Kent in the June release of Man of Steel. Look for Cavill’s poster on the cover of the new ALA Graphics summer catalog arriving in mailboxes beginning this week.

Inside the catalog, many other new treats await. Popular series characters Fly Guy, Charlie Joe Jackson and Geronimo Stilton make their debut, in addition to a new poster and bookmark by 2012 Caldecott Honor recipient John Rocco.

New promotional materials are available now for Banned Books Week and Teen Read Week. The 2013 Banned Books Week theme—“Discover what you’re missing”—appears on a wide variety of items including buttons, tote bags and mugs. A new poster, bookmark and program manual for Teen Read Week invite young adults to “Seek the Unknown” this fall. The theme can be used to highlight a variety of genres–science fiction, mysteries, nonfiction and more.
