BILBAO DECKED OUT TO WELCOME IBERDROLA SHAREHOLDERS
A few days short of Friday 22 March, when IBERDROLA will be holding its General Shareholders' Meeting at the Palacio Euskalduna conference centre in Bilbao, the city has already been decked out to welcome the company's shareholders. From the airport to the main Gran Vía thoroughfare in Bilbao, the entire city has been decorated with images from IBERDROLA's Estamos contigo (We are with you) advertising campaign.
This campaign launched in early March focuses on highlighting the values upheld by IBERDROLA and the company's commitment to its shareholders, innovation and society in general. The images taken from the campaign and used to decorate Bilbao this week are based on the documentary Iberdrola en tiempo de vals (Iberdrola in Waltz Time) made by film director Julio Medem last year. They focus on how the company relates to its various stakeholders and to the societies where it operates.
The Bilbao tram service will also be in the spotlight this week. It will be decorated with the logo for the Shareholders' Meeting all this week and on the morning of Friday 22, sponsorship from Iberdrola will enable passengers to use this means of transport free of charge.
Shareholders attending the Meeting (for which an attendance premium of €0,005 per share will be paid) will be offered an aperitif upon arrival at the Palacio Euskalduna conference centre. A specially designed welcome area has been set up for this purpose and screenings of various audiovisual productions have been scheduled for before the Shareholders' Meeting commences.
