CHICAGO — The Carnegie-Whitney Grant provides grants for the preparation, either in print and/or electronically, of popular or scholarly reading lists, webliographies, indexes and other guides to library resources that will be useful to users of all types of libraries in the United States.
The American Library Association Publishing Committee is proud to announce the 2013 Carnegie-Whitney Award winners, whose proposed projects promote reading or the use of library resources.

- Anne Bridges: Database of the Smokies
- Karen Evans: Resources for Active Duty, Veterans and their Families
- Lisa Klopfer: Southeast Michigan as a Region of Study: An Annotated Resource Guide to Detroit in Context
- Annie Knight: Open Access Resources for Queer Studies Research: An Annotated Bibliography
- Deborah Lilton and Sibyl Moses: African American Parades: A Bibliographic Guide
- Miriam Lytle: Tales Travel Memories
- Helvetia Martell: Digitization and Indexing of the Newspaper La Prensa (New York, 1913-1963)
- Gabriel Morley: Martin Luther King Jr: An Annotated Bibliography from 1986-2012
- Aimee Strittmatter: Summer Reading Booklist

Applications for the next cycle must be received by November 1, 2013. Recipients will be notified by the end of February 2014.
