Statement on Cormorant Alpha incident - 2 March 2013
Oil & Gas UK understands that the incident on the Cormorant Alpha platform operated by TAQA Bratani has been contained and that no further hydrocarbon leaks have been reported. We are very pleased to hear that the crew is safe and that the down-manning of non-essential personnel was efficiently completed. The safety of the offshore oil and gas workforce remains a constant priority for our industry. Oil & Gas UK will work with TAQA Bratani to understand the cause of this incident and share the lessons learned across our members. Ends
