Perenco Swells UKOOA's Growing Ranks
Perenco, one of the new wave of independent North Sea oil and gas operators, has joined the UK Offshore Operators Association (UKOOA), the representative body for exploration and production companies in the UK continental shelf (UKCS).
Perenco, a European petroleum, exploration and production company, first moved into the North Sea in 2003. The company operates seven fields in the UK southern gas basin (Indefatigable, East Leman, Davy, Trent, Tyne, Pickerill and Waveney), together with associated pipelines and onshore processing facilities including the Bacton terminal. In addition to its North Sea interests, it operates in Gabon, Columbia, Cameroon, Turkey, Tunisia, Venezuela, Guatemala, Ecuador, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Eritrea and the USA. The companys operated production is 260,000 boepd with over 190,000 boepd net to the Perenco Group, and an estimated 520 million boe of reserves.
Welcoming Perenco to UKOOA, Malcolm Webb, the Associations chief executive, said:
