Win Last Two Tickets to Attend Next Generation Conference
Oil & Gas UK, together with support from Maersk Oil, have launched a competition to win one of the last two remaining tickets for the Next Generation Conference. The sell-out event, which takes place in just under two weeks, on April 23 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, will encourage delegates to think innovatively about the challenges faced by the UK oil and gas industry in its future.
To win one of the last two remaining places at the event, entrants have to answer the following simple question: How many barrels of oil and gas equivalent did the UK produce per day in 2007?
A. 1.8 million B. 2.8 million C. 3.8 million
Commenting on the conference, Malcolm Webb, chief executive of Oil & Gas UK said: "I am overwhelmed and encouraged by the success of the conference. The popularity of the event shows that the industry is recognising the importance of training, informing, and moreover listening to the next generation of leaders."
The Next Generation Conference, sponsored by Maersk Oil, is aimed at young professionals in the first ten years of their career, giving them an opportunity to take a fresh look at the future direction of the UK oil and gas sector and to have their views heard by todays captains of industry.
Delegates attending the conference will debate the issues in the four key areas of economics, environment, skills and health and safety in facilitated break-out sessions. They will feed back their recommendations to Oil & Gas UK board members who will be taking part in the day. The delegates' opinions and conclusions will be recorded and used to inform Oil & Gas UK policy decisions.
The conference is also supported by AGR Petroleum Services, Technip and Total.
Last day for entries is Monday April 14.
