Industry Responds to Latest AAIB Helicopter Recommendation
Oil & Gas UK has not had the opportunity to study in detail the latest recommendation issued by the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) and is therefore not yet in a position to assess fully the impact on offshore operations.
The industry, however, will of course immediately comply with the AAIB requirements. The health and safety of our offshore workers remain our priority.
Bob Keiller, CEO of PSN and chairman of the offshore oil and gas industry Helicopter Issues Task Group, said: "The AAIBs recommendations did not come out until after this mornings meeting of the Task Group and were therefore not discussed.
"However the group did discuss how the industry has already complied with recommendations made by the AAIB and how it will continue to do so."
