High Demand for Places Expected as Bookings Open for PILOT Share Fair 2011

Bookings are now open for the PILOT Share Fair 2011, which takes place on 2 November at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. The annual event, sponsored by CAN, enables oil and gas related companies throughout the UK to participate in an interactive forum designed to encourage open and constructive dialogue on the business opportunities presented by the industry’s future project development plans.

With 20 companies from both the operator and contractor communities offering 160 presentations throughout the day, last year’s event attracted well over 1,000 attendees, breaking all previous attendance records. For operators the benefits of participating in Share Fair include the opportunity to meet a wide cross-section of the supply chain, source innovative technologies and raise their business profile with new contractors.

For small to medium sized supply chain companies  the event delivers advance information about upcoming drilling programmes, technology requirements, integrity projects, plans for operations and maintenance  and invaluable opportunities to establish contacts with key decision makers.

Russell Harper, Business Development Manager, Offshore Group Newcastle Ltd (OGN), said: “OGN Group is delighted to be presenting at the PILOT Share Fair. This excellent forum for information sharing and networking has truly proved its worth over the years.  As a main contractor, OGN Group can engage with supply chain and client representatives at one single venue in one single day – this is the value to us.”

This year companies delivering presentations include  AGR Petroleum Services, Aker Solutions, AMEC Group, BG Group plc, BP Plc, Endeavour Energy UK Limited, Enquest, Nexen Petroleum (U.K), OGN Group, Petrofac Facilities Management Limited, Shell U.K. Exploration and Production, Statoil (U.K.) Limited, TAQA Bratani Limited and Total E&P UK Limited.

Participation at PILOT Share Fair is an important aspect of the Supply Chain Code of Practice, which aims to drive out waste, achieve overall efficiencies and boost competitiveness.
