Cargill expands consumer product portfolio
New Delhi, December 18, 2012: Cargill has announced that packaged whole wheat flour is now available under its flagship brand, NatureFresh. With NatureFresh Chakki Atta, Cargill has expanded its consumer product portfolio from quality edible oils to quality flour as part of its strategy to build a food products basket in India.
“Growing at about 15% annually, the packaged Atta segment shows much potential for sustained growth. More and more Indian consumers are demanding quality and convenience. Cargill has strong wheat origination capabilities in India and the expertise in choosing the best grains for consumers. In addition, it will leverage on its robust distribution network of the product brands.
NatureFresh Chakki Atta is now available in various pack sizes across retail outlets in major cities of North India and the state of Karnataka in South in the first phase of its launch. There are plans to launch it in East and West markets in the next few months.
Cargill’s NatureFresh range of oils is available as refined soybean and sunflower oil; NatureFresh Purita, kachi ghani pure mustard oil; NatureFresh Shakti, refined palmolein oil; and NatureFresh Oliante, olive oil imported from Spain. It is one of the leading edible oil brands in East and North India.
