Streamlined Permitting for Renewable Energy Generation Webinar

Date: 8/9/2012

Source: National Association of State Energy Officials

3:30-4:30 p.m. ET
Join the National Association of State Energy Officials (NASEO)-Association of State Energy Research & Technology Transfer Institutions (ASERTTI) Renewable Energy Committee for a webinar examining the various ways in which states have streamlined the permitting process for renewable energy generation. Permitting fees and the time required to complete the permitting process add to the total installed cost of renewable energy systems. While permitting processes, fees, and standards are often under the purview of municipalities and counties, initiatives at the state level can streamline permitting practices to better support renewable energy deployment.

Speakers will discuss the problems that they faced in their state, the solutions they developed, and the results they are experiencing after reforming permitting practices.

Speakers

  • Leisa Brug, Arizona Governor's Office of Energy Policy
  • Andy Perchlik, Vermont Department of Public Service
  • Katie Dykes, Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (invited)

This webinar is open to all NASEO and ASERTTI members. See the website for registration.
