93-year-old father of actor files for divorce

U.S. – The elderly father of actor Mel Gibson has filed for divorce. As reported by TMZ, 93-year-old Hutton Gibson cited irreconcilable differences in the filing to divorce Teddy Joye, whom he has been married to for almost a decade, on Monday.
According to claims made by TMZ, allegations of elder abuse may be a factor in the filing. The source states that Joye may have wanted to discontinue multiple medications Hutton Gibson is taking for several ailments.
Gibson and Joye, who is in her 70s, were married in 2002 and have no children. Gibson, however, reportedly has 11 children with his first wife, and over 50 grandchildren.
