WAFM Chief Executive Stephen Dattels: Iron And Ore Production Prospects Are Positive In Cameroon

After conducting the Aeromagnetic Survey in Cameroon, West African Minerals Corporation Chief Executive Stephen Dattels shares positive news regarding iron and ore mining in the African region.

/EINPresswire.com/ TORONTO, CANADA - West African Minerals Corporation broke ground in Cameroon earlier this year, with the results of their Aeromagnetic Survey pointing in a positive direction. According to Stephen Dattels, who serves as both Chief Executive Officer and Executive Co-Chairman for WAFM, the company has the potential to successfully produce iron and ore in the West African region.

"We have identified over 100km of area which could serve as potential DSO (direct shipping ore) deposits. This is especially important, due to the fact that easily shipping ores directly to the furnaces will cut costs significantly. This is an important factor in determining mining sites, and the results we found couldn't have been more promising," said Stephen Dattels of West African Minerals Corporation (http://stephendattels.com/).

The project is currently in the beginning of the exploration stage, but the prospects are overwhelmingly positive. By taking into account the close proximity to the coasts, support from the Cameroon government and the large number of targets identified in the survey, Stephen Dattels is confident that West African Minerals Corporation will be successful in their mining endeavors in Cameroon.

"Our goal is to gain access to as many DSO targets as possible, with many of them being close to the coast. By taking advantage of planned deep water ports, we can reduce the amount of time it takes to access each target. This would also lend a hand in reducing the cost to process and produce high grade iron which will benefit not only the company, but shareholders as well," concluded Stephen Dattels.

The Aeromagnetic Survey took place at six exploration sites throughout Cameroon where the WAFM holds exclusive permits to perform exploration excursions. The areas include Djadom, Dja, Lélé, Minko, Sanaga and Binga. The Republic of Cameroon has reportedly committed to providing all necessary infrastructures to support mining excavations in the country. This includes access to all mining sites through proposed harbors and railways.
