TWIN FALLS – Complete College America (CCA) is a nonprofit focused on helping college studentscomplete college with credentials or a degree. CSI has participated in Complete College America and CompleteCollege Idaho initiatives since 2012 and has crafted many successful initiatives including remediation reform, developing guided pathways, and leveraging education and training with business and industry partners.Recently, CCA created a new initiative titled Momentum Pathways Scale Project. The project focuses onboosting college attainment by developing clear pathways and implementing evidence-based strategies to helpcollege students meet key, first-year benchmarks. “By providing key benchmarks, students are able to map out an achievable plan for the future.” said SammiSanchez, CSI Student Senator.

Asa long-standing participant, the College of Southern Idaho will engage in the three-year project to address theState Board of Education’s strategic initiatives to increase credential completion, expand access topostsecondary education, improve student success, and invest in affordability and innovation. With significantstructured implementation support from CCA staff and content experts, CSI seeks to employ and enhancemomentum pathway strategies in math, advising, corequisite support in English and math, and studentonboarding.

“Participating in Idaho’s Momentum Pathways Scale Project will help CSI rally around a set of nationallyproven, evidence-based strategies that, when implemented at scale and coordinated with one another, will booststudent success, increase college completion, and eliminate achievement gaps for our students,” said JohnHughes, CSI Instructional Dean.
