July 21, 2022. Effective August 1, 2022, there will no longer be a three-year commitment for the dental cash option. Once enrolled in the cash option in lieu of dental benefits, the employee will no longer be prohibited from reenrolling in a state-sponsored dental plan for three plan years. Employees who are currently enrolled in the dental cash option may enroll in a state sponsored dental plan during the next open enrollment period or due to a permitting event.
