While others proposed and implemented incremental solutions, Balqon worked with customers, local communities and governmental agencies to create world's first zero emission heavy duty truck. Today, Balqon continues its pioneering work in developing new battery and drive system technologies to provide zero emission solutions in the transportation and energy storage industries.

With over 7000 hours of testing in field since 2008, Balqon products are globally transforming the short haul trucking industry. With over 750,000 trucks traveling less than 100 miles per day, the era for electric trucks is here.

2008 Started shipments of all electric tractors to Port of Los Angeles. Company started trading on OTC Markets under Symbol BLQN.OB
2009 Incorporated Lithium battery technologies across product lines doubling range of the vehicles.
2010 Developed on-road 7-Ton truck for inner city deliveries. Initiated global partnerships in India and Europe.
2011 Implemented second generation Lithium Battery technology. Developed and deployed fast chargers reducing charge time to 2 hours.
A Benchmark in Power and Efficiency All Balqon drive systems are equipped with Q-Shift technology that smoothly transfers the power from high torque electric motor to automatic transmission making daily work more enjoyable. Equipped standard with second generation lithium batteries, proprietary inverter control technology and battery management systems makes our drive systems 74 % more energy efficient than equivalent combustion vehicle.
