Panasonic Becomes Official Partner of the London 2012 Paralympic Games

Mar 13, 2012 (PRN): Panasonic Corporation, the Official Worldwide Olympic Partner in the Audio and Visual Equipment category for the London 2012 Olympic Games, announced today that the company will support the London 2012 Paralympic Games as the Official Partner in the Audio and Visual Equipment category.

The London 2012 Paralympic Games will take place from August 29 to September 9, 2012 in London. Approximately 4,200 athletes from 160 countries and regions will compete in 20 sports and 471 medal events. Panasonic has been an Official Partner of the Paralympic Games since the Torino 2006 Paralympic Winter Games. Through its support for international sporting events such as the Paralympic Games, Panasonic aims to contribute to the promotion of world peace and greater worldwide acceptance of people with disabilities.

Panasonic will be providing a full lineup of audio visual equipment including LED large screen display systems, professional audio systems, flat screen TVs, digital video cameras, and broadcast equipment to support the staging of the Paralympic Games through cooperation with the London Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), and the Olympic Broadcasting Services London (OBSL). Panasonic will also supply its high-definition (Full HD) video equipment to the competition venues, and the International Broadcast Center, so that the London 2012 Paralympic Games will be broadcast completely in Full HD format.
