Mar 10, 2012 (PRN): House of Tara International (H.O.T) Nigeria's premier make-up and beauty company, are the official make-up sponsors of the 2012 ARISE Magazine Fashion Week.
H.O.T have gathered 60 of their top make-up artists from across Nigeria to converge on the metropolis of Lagos for the stunning fashion spectacle. The event takes place from March 8 -- March 11th 2012 at the luxurious Federal Palace Hotel.
Hot on the heels of the successful inaugural event in 2011, the 2012 ARISE Magazine Fashion Week will attract global attention from the international fashion elite who will clamber to witness the fashion creations from 77 of the world's best designers from the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East. The event also attracts some of the world's top African and black models including Oluchi, Millen Magese, Amina, Sigail Currie and Georgie.
"It is an honor to sponsor the ARISE Magazine Fashion Week especially on the eve of our international launch," said Tara Fela-Durotoye, Founder and CEO of House of Tara International. "We are the premier beauty company in Africa with extensive knowledge about black beauty, and our make-up line compliments the diverse beauty of black and African women. We have trained some of Africa's finest make-up artists, and we look forward to partnering with the designers and models for a creative African fashion and beauty spectacle."
H.O.T is a proudly African brand that draws creative inspiration from Nigeria's largely untold rich culture and heritage. In a stunning success story, under Tara Fela-Durotoye's innovative and visionary leadership, H.O.T has broken records and made history in the African beauty industry launching the first Nigerian Bridal Directory in 1999, creating an international standard make-up studio, and establishing the first make-up school in West Africa.
H.O.T launched Tara Orekelewa the hugely popular and inaugural Nigerian make-up line, and in yet another first, the exotic and mesmerizing fragrance 'Be Inspired' was launched in 2009, the first fragrance created by a Nigerian.
The Tara Orekelewa make-up products will be used by the H.O.T trained make-up artists who will create a breath taking and colorful display that will compliment the numerous fashion creations set to take the runways by storm.
'Orekelewa' is the Yoruba word meaning beauty of a young woman, and this reflects the roots of Tara Fela-Durotoye's product line both geographically and the era of her life when the line was conceived. This stamp of cultural identity and heritage is uniquely infused with the modern 21st century desires, tastes and styles of the aspirational cosmopolitan African and black women.
