Flippers Pizzeria Prepares for Central Florida's Spring Visitors

Central Florida pizza restaurant Flippers Pizzeria anticipates large crowds throughout March for Spring Break and the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

/EINPresswire.com/Orlando, FL - Orlando pizza restaurant Flippers Pizzeria says that it is anticipating a busy spring season this year, thanks to events that include Spring Break, the Arnold Palmer Invitational Golf Tournament, and a variety of local fundraisers taking place at its eleven Central Florida based restaurants.

Every spring, millions of toursists and college students from across the country descend upon Orlando's world-famous theme parks, resorts, hotels, and attractions. Flippers Pizzeria is preparing for the crowds by highlighting its catering and group services, as well as a few brand new menu items that can be enjoyed in-store or by delivery order.

"Our catering menu is perfect for large events at hotels or convention centers," said a Flippers marketing executive. "We feature our most popular pizzas, as well as penne marinara and penne Alfredo pastas, wings, breadsticks and garlic bread, as well as fresh Caesar and tossed salads, all of which come served platter-style serving six to eight people."

Flippers Pizzeria's Group Menu is another option for visiting groups, especially students. Options are "all-inclusive," ranging from $8 per person to about $10 per person. "We'll deliver to just about any hotel in the area, and we provide all essentials like silverware, napkins, plates, and more." said a Flippers catering representative.

For guests hosting large parties and events at area hotels, Flippers Pizzeria's catering and group services make it both convenient and satisfying.

Typically the Spring Break season can range from the end of February to the middle of April; however its peak is from March 5th to the 23rd, when close to 3 million college students exchange their booksacks for beachbags and their desks for lounge chairs in the sun.

In past years, top spring break destinations tended to be cities like Cancun, Puero Vallarta, and Punta Cana, and South Padre, but as more students become concerned with safety and shrinking budgets, staying state-side is becoming a more practical choice.

There's no denying that Florida is the top American-based destination for thousands of students. South Beach, Panama City Beach, Daytona Beach and Orlando are some of the top Florida destinations.

But Spring Break isn't just for college students. Spring break is also a time for families to get away and relax before the dog days of summer arrive. In fact, Orlando was ranked Number 1 as the "Top Family Friendly Spring Break Destination" for 2012 by writers at about.com.

"We know that many spring breakers and families stay in the Univerisal, I-Drive, Disney, and Lake Buena Vista corridors, so our restaurants serving those neighborhoods are always prepared for the crowds and increased orders during spring's busiest months," said a Flippers operations representative. Pizza carry out at Flippers Pizzeria restaurants is also a convenient option. Guests can call ahead or order online and choose to carry out their orders.

Also on the calendar this spring is the Arnold Palmer Invitational (formerly the Bay Hill Invitational), which is the premier PGA golf event in Central Florida, attracting some of the world's biggest golfers, celebrities, and enthusiasts.

"We are proud to have been able to participate in the Arnold Palmer Invitational for a few years now," said Scott Kousaie, Co-President & Founding Partner. "Last year, we donated more than 600 individual pizzas to the volunteers of the event." This year's tournament will be taking place from March 19th to 25th.

"Our Sand Lake restaurant is less than an mile from the Bay Hill course, which is where the tournament takes place, so our team prepares for the influx of orders every year," said Kousaie. "It's a very exciting time for us; we enjoy being part of this historic Orlando golf tournament year after year."

In addition to Spring Break and the Arnold Palmer Invitational, March and April are also host to a variety of fundraisers at Flippers Pizzeria's locations.

"From local colleges, to area high school and middle schools, fundraisers and 'spirit nights' happen at our locations weekly," said Kelly Pfister, Director of Sales and Marketing. "Schools contact us to host a fundraising event, then we help to promote it through our social media channels like Twitter and Facebook."

The Flippers fundraisers help schools and organizations raise critical funds for programs and local charities. According to Pfister, the restaurants typically donate 20 percent of the evening's total sales to the school during these events.

Flippers Pizzeria is currently celebrating its 25th year in Central Florida. Soon, a new Flippers mobile iPhone ordering application will be released along with a new location in The Villages of Central Florida opening later this Spring. Recently the pizzeria refreshed its website with a new design and layout.

"We are very proud to have been part of the Central Florida community for more than twenty-five years, and we look forward to celebrating our milestone 25th year throughout 2012," said a Flippers representative.
